Our journey began on Wednesday at 3:30pm when our friend, Chris, picked us up to drive us down to O'Hare..."Thank you, Chris, for getting us to the airport safely and in a timely manner; our trip definitely started off on the right foot this time around!
Quickly, backing up a hair... Jo had Sophie and I pick an "inspirational card" before leaving, below is the one I randomly drew. 💖
Our flights went incredibly smooth, and we were all in agreement that British Air is our new favorite airline! In addition to everything going efficiently, we also got to celebrate Sophie's birthday. Poor kid though, with the drastic time change, she actually lost part of the her day. But, I suppose, how can you complain when you're sipping Champagne. 😉🥂
We finally arrived in Rajahmundry, India at roughly noon on Friday and were warmly greeted by old friends and new ones. I must say it was somewhat emotional as this was the first time seeing some of our "India family" since our beloved "Big Bob" passed. I've been holding on to those tears for several years now, just waiting for the opportunity to grieve with these loved ones...

We then drove just over an hour into the village of Madhavapatnam, where we were welcomed by Joyful Journey Board Members and Marshall School Staff.
What a joy it was to see familiar faces after six years!
And now, dear friends, after 36 hours of traveling and a welcome celebration,
I NEED TO SLEEP!!!
My roommates are already passed out, and if I don't join them soon,
I can't guarantee what I'll end up writing in this blog!
