Camp India

Greetings from Camp India!

Why do I say "Camp India"...well, ya know when you're at camp and you're having such an amazing time doing new things and having new experiences, but then you get a letter from home and it just makes your day??  That's how we feel...we are having an awesome time here, but it sure has been wonderful to think we are still connected to all back home...THANK YOU for all your letters and notes to us...they are the blankets of love that are wrapped around us each day as we go out on our journey...we appreciate hearing from you!

Now on with the adventure...  The "high point" of our day yesterday had to be meeting the students of one of the "Cutting and Tailoring" schools here that we support.  Seeing all these grateful women and knowing that the girls have purchased the sewing machines that they are transforming their lives on filled my heart with pride and joy!  Fill your cup and let it overflow...

So Dad, you were wondering what the bathroom situation really is like here.  Well, we had the opportunity to see the home where Novahu grew up and where his parents still live.
Here is the bathroom...

And here is the backyard he played in.  Note the pipe coming out into the river...that's where the toilet empties out.

Mom, you were wondering about the colors here...they go from vibrant brights to dark and dingy.
Here are some examples...

What do they do with their garbage??  Well, as you can see most of it ends up in the river or wherever, but we did see the India WM cart go by our hotel window.  Where that ends up is any ones guess.

Do the cows really roam wherever they please?  See for yourself...

Ever wonder about Noah's Ark??  I believe it was "made in India"...

I hope that answers some of your ??

Now for some more fun photos of our days events.  We finished the "rainbow wall" in the Science Room/Library...

Worked some more on Friendship Bracelets...

Toured another school. Creamy Fester was a real hit there!

Played games on the bus while touring around...

Big Bob and Creamy Fester gave out "Pop Rocks" to the kids, what a sight to see their reactions...

And if Pop Rocks weren't enough of a treat, Sophia passed out "Fun Dip" from her specail treat bag...

All in all another great day filled with blessings!
Thanks again for keeping connected with us while we're on the other side of the world!
Namaste ~ Jenny
