Toto, I don't think we're in West Bend anymore...

Culture shock is putting it mildly...it's more like the "Twighlight Zone"!  The final airport we landed in was in the middle of nowhere...the sights we are beholding are like none other you can imagine...BUT, the love we felt when we arrived made us feel like we were right at home!  We were showered with flowers, hugs, beautiful smiles, and yes Oma...great looks of amazement when they saw "Big Bob" (well actually Sophia is taller than most here, so you can just guess the looks we receive)!

We were taken right from the airport to Novahu and Manjula's home where we enjoyed a delicious meal of rice, eggs, and chapatis.  Once we all had our fill, Novahu called up the block on his cell phone (check out article on the side regarding cell phones and bathrooms) to have the teachers start bringing the children over from the school.  (it's only about 1/2 block away)

Big Bob showing off in front of the kids...

We all received a fragrent lei from the school children...

Steve and Big Bob with our "security guard" Solomon

I can't put into words the overwhelming joy it was to see the children...
it only took about 2 minutes for them to warm up to us...
they are so small and so beautiful...what gifts they each are!!

Namaste ~ Jenny

p.s.Julie, your picture of Cab on your follower post really brightened up a
little heart that was feeling a tad homesick.  Thanks...all is well again!
And, no mom...no one ate their chocolate yet!

p.s.s.  Enjoy the snow!
