Be the change...

you wish to see in the world!

Today Emma spent a good portion of the day conducting more interviews with women from the village for the project she is working on. I am confident that regardless of what direction the outcome of this report is, the greatest gift has already been given...
she allowed these women to be heard!!

For the rest of us, it was a day filled with all different kinds of interactions.
We were greeted by a group of women from the other side of the village who came over simply to see us and to ask us to pray for them.

One of them had a set of twins,
Oh for cute!!

Big Bob spent some "one on one" time with one
of the little girls we sponsor...

I got to go for a motorcycle ride through the village
when my buddy from the school came to call...

Jo enjoyed being around the littlest "shine brites"

And Loobie had a positive interaction with the
little boy she sponsors;
Oh Happy Day!!

Big Bob and I also took a stroll across the road to where a group
of men have been tearing down a house; they'd been working really
hard so we offered them some of Aunt Kathleen's Caramel Corn,
which of course they were thrilled with!!

It's such a good feeling to know that whether the children bring
their own lunch...

or are part of the "lunch bunch" program;
all the kids are getting something to eat!

After lunch the gals and I enjoyed passing out Dum Dum Suckers to
all the school children...

Later in the afternoon we set out for a visit to another
Cutting and Tailoring center located in a remote village about 1 hour away.
We were warmly welcomed and pleased with how many people showed up!!

First we heard from the instructor.  He was very gracious in his
appreciation for this ministry and how it is giving him the opportunity
to help the women within his village, which in turn is helping the village itself.
He was thankful to my gals, as it was through their "made with love" business that the sewing machine was purchased; however our hearts went out to them when we learned that an average of 10 women go through the program at a time and they all have to share 1 machine.
It's been 10 years since the first machines were purchased for $75 a piece, they now cost $100; the ministry itself is still "priceless"!!

Emma and Loobie both gave beautiful talks of encouragement to the women, and then we were presented with a book of different samples they had made.

Following this time together, we were asked if we would
offer a prayer on the Center itself as well as those in attendance;
some also approached us asking to receive a personal blessing,
it was very moving...

May God bless this ministry and all who are a part of it,
whether on the receiving or giving end of it.
May it continue to be an avenue that changes lives
for the better!!

  2. God's love is shining brightly through the Landowski family towards all of the people whose lives you have touched! So much has been done and is being done! Wow! And there will always be more to do. So, we can wake up, thank God for so many blessings, ask God for His strength to bless us, and keep spreading all of the love we can
