It's Never Easy...

 Today we begin our long journey back home. 

🚌🛫🚙

Are we excited to see our loved ones, yes including our pups...

ABSOLUTELY!🥰

Are we looking forward to sleeping in our own beds...

WITHOUT A DOUBT!😴

Are we craving some of our favorite foods...

YOU BETCHA!🍔🍟🍕

Are we longing for familiar surroundings...

THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME!🏡

Yet, it's impossible to say good-bye without feeling like you're leaving part of your heart behind.😢

There's no way you can walk out the door and not forever be changed.💞

And, there's definitely no peace in a guarantee as to what the future holds, because we know we only have this moment...nothing in this life is promised. 🤔

So what do I take back with me?

This trip brought healing to broken hearts, as it gave us a chance to grieve the loss of our beloved Big Bob, with our Joyful Journey family in India. We needed this time to cry together as well as recall memories shared. His presence was truly felt by all who knew and loved him. 😭💝

This trip offered the powerful reaffirmation of the positive impact that Joyful Journeys has had in the village of Madhavapatnam, India over the past 20 years, and the countless lives that have been enriched by the programs available and the unconditional love shared! 💕

This trip was a stark reminder of the many things that we are privileged to have in our country, that we so often take for granted, and why we are called to help those less fortunate, to the best of our ability, regardless of _____ (you fill in the blank).

This trip reminded me, as I reminded the children, that we're stronger together than we are a part, because we are all connected...let's keep love in our hearts!

So with the power of love running in and around us, we venture onward...
